Alpaca Experiences

45 min Alpaca Experience

Alpacas are herd animals and will not walk without an alpaca friend by their side. We therefore require a minimum of 2x Alpacas per booking. Children must be 12 years or older in order to walk their own alpaca and they must be accompanied by an adult (either as a spectator or with another alpaca). Children aged 8 years+ can book a “spectator” ticket at a reduced rate to accompany an adult, there is no max. age for spectator tickets. Please note that we do not allow more than one spectator per alpaca, i.e. maximum number of two people to share.

25 min VIP Meet & Greet

This option is more suitable for those a little more cautions, less mobile and our younger visitors.

It will give your group exclusive access to the animal enclosure and you will get chance to get up close and personal to the animals on a one on one level. Of course there will be treats for the animals too.

The VIP session covers up to 2x adults and 3x children under 12.

All our alpacas are halter trained and have been well socialised. As with all animals, there is always the possibility that they occasionally do not feel “in the mood” or if the weather is particularly challenging this could have an impact on the enjoyment of the activities we offer. If this is the case we will endeavour to make alternative arrangements.

Alpacas are naturally inquisitive but can be easily spooked by sudden movements or loud noises, our experiences will therefore be very calm and relaxed. We do not recommend this experience for very young children.

On arrival we will talk you through a short health and safety induction and give clear instructions on how to handle the animals. You will then be given the lead of an animal for a stroll around our farm. All activities will be accompanied by a trained member of our team who will give you lots of information and interesting facts about the animals and their origin.

Due to the rural setting and the nature of the landscape, please ensure you wear sturdy footwear. You must be physically able to walk across uneven terrain and to hold onto an animal.

The location is a little remote, and you will be sent detailed directions with your booking confirmation.

We ask all visitors to arrive 10 mins prior to the allocated time in order to allow for everyone to get settled and familiarised with the surroundings. All activities must be pre-booked and paid for prior to arrival as we do not offer walk in sessions due to the preparation required. As there may be more than one household taking part in each walk, please observe social distancing guidelines at all times.
